 How to Engage in Civil Discourse

Fellowship Hall

Using a variety of resources, Pastors Alfred and Erin will teach the rules of civil discourse and how to truly engage, especially with family members or anyone you might not agree with on any issue. You will be challenged and encouraged by examples from the Bible. And we'll talk about current issues and have you put these methods into practice in your day to day lives.

Lobby, CE Building

Youth 6th – 12th grade.

Come and get some breakfast bars and drinks and hang out with your friends. Meet new people. Bring a friend. Jenn Aaron will oversee.


Kids K – 5th Grade CE Building

Using the Storybook Jesus Bible and DVD, kids will learn about God’s love for them and how to live out their faith as they learn bible stories through crafts, games and other activities. Peggy Paxton, lead teacher

Winter Term 2018 January 14 – March 18

 Stories of Faith from Ancient Texts

with Pastors Alfred and Erin

Fellowship Hall. 

Is our Old Testament too old to inform our faith today? We don't think so! What are the Bible's Old Testament narratives that encourage us and guide us even today? Come and meet some of the ancient faith leaders who followed God, made mistakes, and yet were used to lead and inspire their people in remarkable ways.

Spring Term 2018 April 8 – June 10

 

Walking the Walk with Pastor Erin       Fellowship Hall

Using the Bible and Richard's Foster's Celebration of Discipline as a guide with help from Brian McLaren's We Make the Road by Walking, we'll discuss the challenge of "walking the walk" in the everyday task of following Jesus. If we want to be witnesses in this increasingly stressful world, we need to have practices that keep us focused and grounded in our faith. Books not required.

NURSERY & K-5th

We offer Sunday school classes as well as Nursery care for your young children during the Christian Education hour starting at 9:45 a.m. every Sunday.

There is a Nursery for newborns, toddlers and preschoolers (birth up to 5 yrs. old) where your little ones will be well cared for while you attend worship or Sunday School: Lynn Schoebel, Johannah Schoebel & Mariah Alvarez
