ORGAN CONCERT RECITAL Join us at Calvary Presbyterian Church for an organ recital on our restored 1959 Moeller Organ with Alex Morita, Organist, Sunday, September 25, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in our Sanctuary. Admission is FREE, but there will be a goodwill offering collected. Alex will play Toccata and Fugue in D Minor by J.S. Bach; Sonata No. 1, Movement 1 by Felix Mendelssohn; Carillon de Westminster by Louis Vierne; and Concert Piece by Flor Peeters. Alex holds degrees from La Sierra University, UCR, and CSULA; and is working on an MA from Cal State San Bernardino. He studied under Dr. Kimo Smith at La Sierra University and plays in worship every Sunday at Calvary. Calvary's Moeller Organ has three manuals (Great, Swell, Choir) and Pedals, consisting of approximately 2500 pipes. It was "restored to glory" in 2017 by Ryan Ballantyne Pipe Organs. All leathers were replaced, pipes repaired or replaced, and a complete re-tuning was done to deliver a warmer sound. We hope you will join us!
