ADULTS

Calvary Presbyterian offers a variety of both fellowship and mission opportunities for adults of all ages to participate in. These programs and mission projects allow adults in our congregation to meet fellow brothers and sisters in Christ in a warm, welcoming, and engaging environment. Here at Calvary we believe that a Church is only as strong as the bond between its members. We hope that you will join us at one of our adult fellowship groups or mission opportunities, you will find it a perfect opportunity to not only grow in Christ, but a chance to become a valued member of our Church family.

 
 

MEN’S BREAKFAST

 

Men's Breakfast meets on the first Saturday at 8:30 a.m. in Westminster Hall for a home cooked breakfast and conversation. Robert Spitzer cooks a gourmet main dish and others bring extras.

PRIME TIME

 

Prime Time is a fellowship ministry for senior adults and retirees that meets every third Wednesday in the Fellowship Hall for fun, fellowship and a program featuring an expert speaker on particular topic of interest. Sometimes we watch a movie or throw a theme party. You are sure to have fun with your senior and retiree friends! Everyone is welcome and we encourage you to bring a guest.

MEETING TIME

From October to June, every 3rd Wednesday, we gather at 9:45 a.m. and the program starts at 10:00 a.m. We provide a catered lunch for $10 and need your reservation called into the church office (951) 686-0761 by the Monday prior. We are usually finished by 12:00 p.m.

PRESBYTERIAN WOMEN

 

Presbyterian Women (PW) offers women in the church meaningful ways to live out their faith in the midst of a caring community of women. For more the 200 years Presbyterian women's groups have strengthened the Presbyterian Church and played a major role in sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and witnessing to the promise of God's Kingdom. Presbyterian Women meets October - May.

HABITAT FOR HUMANITY

 

Calvary has a long history of supporting Habitat for Humanity. Now we are involved in all aspects of building projects for Habitat Riverside. We just helped finish several homes in Rubidoux and now are ground-breaking on a site in Riverside. Pastor Alfred coordinates our efforts with Habitat.

Habitat for Humanity is a non-profit, tax-exempt, ecumenical Christian organization dedicated to working with people in need to improve the conditions in which they are forced to live. Its major purpose is to build homes for people who live in sub-standard housing and cannot afford to improve their living standards by conventional means.
